Key Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Address residents' ADL needs as per care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting within a safe environment
• Maintain resident environment and safety, promptly addressing call lights and alarms, and following policies
• Meet residents' nutritional needs as outlined in care plan, honoring preferences and completing documentation
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs through exercises and use of assistive devices
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and status changes to Charge Nurse promptly

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• One year of experience in LTC or CNA capacity
• Licensed for at least one year
