Key Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Ensure resident's ADL needs are met safely, including hygiene, grooming, and mobility
• Maintain resident's environment and safety, responding promptly to call lights
• Meet resident's nutritional needs, honoring preferences and documenting per protocol
• Address rehabilitative needs, including range of motion and transfers as per care plan
• Report resident's rights, refusals, and changes in status promptly to supervisory staff

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA/RQI specifically)
• One year of experience in LTC or CNA capacity
• Must be licensed for at least one year
