Key Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Meet resident's ADL needs, including hygiene, grooming, and positioning, as per care plan
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, addressing call lights and fall prevention
• Provide nutritional support, respecting resident preferences and dietary needs
• Assist with rehabilitative activities, such as range of motion and ambulation
• Report any changes in resident condition to Charge Nurse promptly

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA or RQI)
• One year of experience in a long-term care or CNA capacity
