Key Responsibilities of the CNA

• Ensure residents' ADLs are met according to care plans, including hygiene and incontinence care.
• Maintain a safe environment, answer call lights, use restraints as directed, and ensure unit cleanliness.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs, honor preferences, and document meal services.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs with proper body alignment and use of assistive devices.
• Report residents' rights concerns and changes in status to supervising nurses promptly.

Requirements of the CNA

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS (AHA or RQI)
• One year of experience in LTC or CNA capacity
• High School Diploma or GED
