Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Waterloo, NY

Pay: $1,044.40 per week

Shifts: Full-time, 7.5 hours, 5 days per week including every weekend

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• Ensure residents' ADL (Activities of Daily Living) needs are met as per care plan and policy, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and more.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, promptly responding to call lights and alarms, and ensuring cleanliness and safety checks.
• Meet residents' nutritional needs per care plan, honoring preferences and ensuring proper documentation.
• Support rehabilitative needs including range of motion, ambulation, transfers, and monitor use of assistive devices.
• Communicate residents' rights, refusals, and status changes promptly to supervising nurses.
• Understand and anticipate occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, handling tasks with care.

Requirements of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI
• One year of experience as a CNA or in Long Term Care (LTC)
