This exciting travel assignment will have you performing essential computerized tomographic procedures under the direction of a Manager. As a CT Technologist, you will operate in a medical environment, employing established practices to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist

• Perform computed tomography scanning procedures with attention to technical detail
• Operate control console for patient scans
• Select appropriate imaging techniques
• Maintain, set-up, and adjust equipment, ensuring proper calibration
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices for optimum imaging
• Provide procedure explanations and ease patient anxieties
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Record significant anatomical or pathologic data
• Apply radiographic protection principles
• Coordinate work for maximum productivity and efficiency
• Evaluate image quality
• Comply with radiology record-keeping requirements
• Assist with administration of contrast media when trained
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures
• Participate in professional growth and development activities
• Maintain ethical relationships and patient confidentiality

Requirements of the CT Technologist

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• High school graduate or GED
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Radiography Program
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT & RT)
• Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control (RT & CT)
• At least 1 year of current CT Tech experience within the last 5 years
• Current BLS certification
