Director of Nursing

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at a surgery center in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, operational excellence, and a strong, collaborative team environment. Reporting directly to the Administrator, the Clinical Director of Nursing holds 24-hour responsibility for clinical operations, including patient care, staff leadership, and financial oversight. This individual will play a critical role in driving quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and team performance. Key responsibilities include providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to clinical staff and department leaders; overseeing staffing, hiring, training, and performance management; ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards; leading Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives; managing budgets and resources; and fostering a positive, high-performing work environment informed by quality and patient satisfaction data. Qualified candidates will hold an active California RN license and be graduates of an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred), with at least two years of healthcare management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and preferably experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). BLS/ACLS certification is required, and PALS is preferred.
