Pay: $1,342.80 weekly

Key Responsibilities of the Primary Care LPN

• Coordinate patient flow from registration through discharge to minimize wait times and ensure efficient care delivery.
• Perform nursing assessments, obtain and document vital signs, and complete quality metrics in the EMR according to established standards.
• Prepare patients for office visits by obtaining relevant provider notes, laboratory results, and diagnostic studies.
• Assist providers with office-based procedures, examinations, and patient care.
• Schedule office visits, surgical procedures, and diagnostic studies, including obtaining required prior authorizations.
• Educate patients on health conditions and care needs, providing appropriate guidance.
• Manage patient phone calls, communicate clinical concerns to providers, and provide timely follow-up for urgent and non-urgent issues.
• Coordinate prescription refill requests, monitor laboratory and diagnostic results, and escalate concerns to providers.
• Perform clinical testing such as pulmonary function testing, EKGs, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration.
• Conduct CLIA-waived testing according to laboratory protocols.
• Monitor and maintain office and medical supply inventory.
• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies following established protocols.

Requirements of the Primary Care LPN

• NYS LPN license
• Minimum 1-year experience as LPN in a physician's practice setting
• Pediatrics experience required
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
