Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Medical Hospital Coding Specialist to join an established and talented team. The ideal candidate will have experience coding in a facility setting, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess both inpatient and outpatient hospital coding experience, which is required for this role. In this position, you will be responsible for accurately coding facility services for a wide range of surgical procedures and diagnostic studies while ensuring compliance with NCCI edits, bundling requirements, and implant charging and coding guidelines in the facility setting. You will independently research and resolve coding issues to ensure proper reimbursement, collaborate closely with the billing department to support efficient accounts receivable processes, and prepare appeals for denied claims. Additional responsibilities include identifying coding trends and recommending corrective actions, working with administration to improve processes, representing Trajectory and its clients in a professional manner, and maintaining excellent customer service for both clients and patients. You will also perform other duties as assigned.
