Key Responsibilities of the Pathology Assistant

• Grossing simple and complex tissue specimens
• Handling and cutting frozens (5-10 per day)
• Utilizing Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition programs
• Operating equipment such as a Cryostat, bone saw, and scalpels/knives

Requirements of the Pathology Assistant

• ASCP Certification as a Pathologists' Assistant
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1 year of experience in specialty
• Experience in an academic medical center preferred
