Key Responsibilities of the Full Time Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department

• Perform patient care activities and clerical functions under RN supervision
• Provide technical assistance and participate in unit and organizational improvement activities
• Execute phlebotomy, EKGs, and other patient care tasks efficiently
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of utility areas and manage departmental supplies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient flow

Requirements of the Full Time Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department

• High school diploma or GED
• Current BLS certification through AHA or RQI
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in a hospital setting
