Shifts: Evening Shift: 1 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.; Monday-Friday with potential for Saturday

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

• Accept and dispense prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
• Confirm that prescribed medicines to patients are suitable
• Accurately maintain confidential records and manage patient records and pharmacy files
• Advise patients on medication usage, possible reactions, and answer questions
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications
• Educate patients on handling medical devices such as blood pressure monitors
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify and communicate drug-related problems with healthcare practitioners
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements of the Pharmacist

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Licensed by the state pharmacy board in Wisconsin
