Location: New Braunfels, TX

Pay: $3,124.80 per week

Shifts: Rotating shifts 07:30-16:00, 08:00-16:30, and 14:00-22:30

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

• Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Interpret and verify drug orders into the computerized patient medication record.
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile products and parenteral nutrition.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and provide accurate drug information.
• Provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care, including anticoagulation management and patient education.
• Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities.
• Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners as needed.

Requirements of the Pharmacist

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required
• Hospital experience preferred
• TX state Pharmacy licensure required
• BLS or ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• PALS certification required (AHA only)
• IV certification highly recommended and preferred
