Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant

• Provide rehabilitative care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Follow and implement patient's individualized Plan of Treatment
• Support clinical collaboration and integrate adaptive equipment to improve outcomes
• Communicate patient progress to the care team
• Ensure accurate documentation according to APTA and regulatory standards
• Participate in quality initiatives and coordinate follow-up services
• Maintain confidentiality, foster professional development, and ensure timely billing documentation

Requirements of the Physical Therapist Assistant

• PTA license in Kentucky
• Home Health experience preferred
• Experience with HCHB preferred
