RCM/Billing Working Manager

The organization is seeking a Revenue Cycle leader responsible for overseeing day-to-day billing operations across multiple specialties, with a strong emphasis on orthopedics and ASC billing. This role includes managing and mentoring billing staff while driving accountability, productivity, and professional development, as well as performing hands-on billing functions when needed, including coding review, claim corrections, denials, and appeals. The leader will develop, analyze, and present revenue cycle management (RCM) performance reports, KPIs, and forecasting while driving process improvement initiatives to reduce denials, accelerate cash flow, and improve overall billing accuracy. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with payer rules and federal and state regulations, maintaining proficiency across multiple practice management and EHR systems, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing training programs to strengthen team capabilities. This role also focuses heavily on KPI monitoring and performance management, collaborating with leadership to implement and track metrics that measure revenue cycle efficiency, while ensuring timely and accurate claim submission, payment posting, denial and appeal management, coding, and accounts receivable follow-up. The position promotes a culture of continuous improvement by identifying operational bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and driving adoption of best practices, technologies, and collaborative teamwork to optimize revenue cycle performance. Qualified candidates should have 3–5+ years of medical billing leadership experience in roles such as RCM Manager or Billing Supervisor, with proven expertise in orthopedic and ASC billing and high-volume surgical claims. Strong leadership, team development, and performance management skills are essential, along with advanced reporting capabilities and comfort working with dashboards, KPIs, and financial metrics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an analytical mindset, the ability to drive process optimization, and a willingness to remain hands-on with accounts when needed. Certification such as CPC or CCS is a plus, along with proficiency in systems including HST, SIS (Surgical Information Systems), Epic, and AdvancedMD.
