• LBS1 endorsement
• Ability to work in a self-contained special education setting

 

Job Description:

LBS1 Special Education Teacher – School-Based | Midlothian, IL | Up to $55/hr | Up to $1,787.50/Week

AB Staffing Solutions is hiring an LBS1 Special Education Teacher for a school-based DLP program in the Midlothian, Illinois area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a self-contained classroom serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with a maximum classroom size of just 13 students.

Pay & Schedule

• $50-$56 per hour
• 2.5 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• 8:10 AM–2:40 PM
• No nights or weekends
• School holidays and breaks off
• Full school-year contract

Assignment Dates

• Start: September 1, 2026
• End: June 3, 2027

Essential Functions:

• Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs
• Implement, monitor, and document IEP goals and student progress
• Manage a structured, self-contained classroom environment
• Adapt instruction to support varying developmental and learning needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, families, and other members of the educational team
• Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation
• Support students with developmental, cognitive, physical, communication, and behavioral needs

Student PopulationThe program serves K–8 students who may have a variety of support needs, including:

• Autism
• Intellectual disabilities
• Developmental disabilities
• Physical impairments
• Other Health Impairments (OHI)
• Multiple disabilities

 

Salary:

• $50-$56 per hour
• $1,875-$2,100
