Key Responsibilities of the Manager of the Clinical Resource Department

• Manage daily operations of case management and social services program staff
• Conduct rounds on patient units to facilitate discharge processes
• Develop continuing education programs for staff related to new processes
• Provide program education for new staff in discharge planning and utilization review
• Track and trend program compliance and implement process improvements
• Analyze program metrics and maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes
• Mentor and coach staff for collaborative practice improvement

Requirements of the Manager of the Clinical Resource Department

• Minimum of 3 years acute care experience within the past 5 years
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• Certification in Case Management or Clinical Documentation Integrity preferred
• Minimum 5 years of Case Management experience in an acute setting
• Experience in process improvement and professional continuing education
• Knowledge of CMS regulations and proficiency with Windows-based software
