Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients according to established standards.
• Participate in developing collaborative care plans and communicate effectively with involved disciplines.
• Implement, evaluate, and modify plans of care as needed, ensuring patient goals are met.
• Complete documentation accurately and utilize the necessary documentation tools appropriately.
• Assess patient readiness to learn and implement individualized education plans.
• Engage actively in nursing department initiatives, including in-service opportunities and committee participation.
• Provide age-appropriate care for the specific population served according to professional standards.
• Ensure excellent service experience for all health center customers by adhering to performance standards.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active RN license from the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in OB, Postpartum, and/or L&D settings.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
