This role involves working within a hospital environment, providing high-quality care to patients on various MS and Tele units, while also handling ER overflow as needed. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg

• Assess patients' conditions and nursing needs, coordinating activities with health disciplines
• Develop individualized care plans, including teaching needs and discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care when professional skills and judgment are required
• Administer medications and practice infection control
• Maintain written plans of care and set patient goals and priorities
• Document patient/family teaching and their responses in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with staff and other departments
• Participate in quality assurance activities or committees within the unit or hospital

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg

• Minimum 2 years MS/TELE experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
