• Active Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Special Education Teaching License, Tier 3 or Tier 4
• Experience working in multicultural settings and with diverse student populations preferred

We are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time school-based opportunity in Minneapolis, MN for the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Details

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• Face-to-face services only
• School-based setting

 

Essential Functions:

• Developing lesson plans and instructional materials
• Writing and implementing IEPs and evaluation reportsWriting and implementing IEPs and evaluation reports
• Delivering individualized and small-group instruction
• Adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Establishing and maintaining positive classroom behavior expectations
• Developing and implementing behavior intervention strategies
• Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
• Communicating regularly with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Meeting all state and federal special education timelines and compliance requirements
• Participating in curriculum development, professional development, and school committees
• Candidates should possess strong classroom management, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Salary:

• $2,000.00 – $2,160.00 per week
• $50-$54/hourly
