Job Title: Neurosurgical Unit Registered Nurse

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $70.12/hour

Shifts: Day/Evening/Night Rotating Shifts - Weekends, Holidays, On-Call as Needed

Seven Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a position in the neurosurgical unit located in Rochester, NY. This travel contract offers the opportunity to work in a mixed-acuity setting providing care to patients with brain tumors, spinal malformations, and undergoing epilepsy surgery, among other conditions.

Key Responsibilities of the Neurosurgical Unit Registered Nurse

• Perform high-acuity stroke and neurosurgical procedures.
• Conduct neurological and hemodynamic monitoring in a step-down unit.
• Manage patients with EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, and seizure management.
• Administer complex therapies such as 3% NS, Cardene drips, and maintain arterial lines.

Requirements of the Neurosurgical Unit Registered Nurse

• MUST HAVE step-down/PCU experience.
• RN License (NY license ONLY).
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Two (2) years of relevant nursing experience.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is highly desired.
• Telemetry experience required.
