Pay: $2,094.48 per week

Key Responsibilities of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych- Unit 3900

• Conducts intake assessments through patient and relative interviews to gather case history.
• Plans and provides comprehensive nursing care for patients.
• Makes nursing diagnoses of patients' medical and emotional status and recommends treatment.
• Collaborates with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design treatment plans.
• Administers psychotropic drugs and notes patient reactions.
• Arranges further medical attention as necessary.
• Assists clients in understanding emotional disturbances and treatment needs.
• Maintains a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Tests for vital signs and ensures pain treatment.
• Documents patient information on medical charts and follows physician orders.
• Keeps accurate patient treatment and lab result records according to standards.
• Performs administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes.
• Provides high-quality service to patients and the public, handling service requests or referrals personally.

Requirements of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych- Unit 3900

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• CPI (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience
