Key Responsibilities of the RN Supervisor

• Oversee operation of nursing units, providing clinical supervision to staff.
• Ensure quality resident care through teaching and staff supervision.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding unit concerns and collaborate for solutions.
• Make administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing during off hours and weekends.

Requirements of the RN Supervisor

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1-year experience as a nurse in long-term care with supervisory/clinical lead experience over multiple units
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
