Pay: $2,384.64 weekly

Shifts: Primarily 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p & 7p-7a; additional 8-hour shift on Fridays; on-call required Friday nights 1 a.m.-7 a.m.

You will specialize in adult critical care, working with a range of equipment and treatments primarily in 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Manage and operate special equipment like Servo I and LTV 1200 ventilators
• Perform non-invasive ventilation and high flow oxygen therapy
• Conduct aerosol therapy, ABG draws and analysis, and chest physiotherapy
• Take charge of tracheostomy care/management and sputum specimen collection
• Administer medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, and Spiriva, among others
• Interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and conduct weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and perform extubation when necessary

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• ACLS, BLS, CRT certifications required
• New York state license required in hand to submit
• Experience with EPIC charting system mandatory
• Skills in adult critical care, emergency department practices, and various respiratory therapies necessary
