Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Manage vents, CPAP, BiPap, nebs, and a-line placement
• Assist providers with intubation, vent weaning, and extubation
• Obtain and interpret ABGs
• Float across all hospital units as needed

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• 1 year of experience required
• Hold a BLS and ACLS certification
• Nation level certification: RRT or CRT
