Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $3,133.20 per week

Shifts: 5x8hr Days, with on-call duties as needed

Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technician

• Demonstrates competence in selecting exposure factors and consistently produces diagnostic quality images.
• Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures.
• Operates all equipment proficiently and reports malfunctions.
• Completes assigned procedures promptly and assists with room turnover.
• Maintains medication security and demonstrates competency in patient care for all age groups.
• Uses Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains confidentiality.
• Handles technical inquiries professionally, maintaining good phone etiquette.

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technician

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience
• NYS License (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• ARRT certification
• VIR Certified - preferred
