Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $3,133.20 weekly

Shifts: Sun - Thurs 5x8s 3:30p-12am, Evenings, on call/callback and holidays as needed

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves utilizing radiographic equipment to assist physicians in diagnoses, while working in a dynamic, high-paced environment. Candidates must be prepared to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts.

Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Operate x-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images as per physicians' directives.
• Explain procedures to patients while addressing any questions they may have.
• Position patients appropriately, assisting those with limited mobility.
• Ensure radiologic equipment is used safely, keeping doses as low as possible.
• Observe and interpret patient-specific information efficiently.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation.
• Report any equipment issues to management promptly.
• Utilize electronic systems for patient verification and record keeping.

Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist

• Certification from an approved Radiologic Technology school and ARRT certification.
• NYS license (or the ability to obtain before starting).
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience, including Level 1 trauma center experience.
• Competency in moving or lifting patients and standing for long periods.
• BLS certification and experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months.
• Recent OR experience at a trauma 1 center.
