Shift Details:

• Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

Student Population (Elem, Middle, HS): Elementary

Special Education Teacher – Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student to meet their specific needs.  

• Provide specialized instruction, adapt general education lessons, and teach various subjects tailored to students with disabilities.

• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success and ensure a collaborative approach to education.

• Assess student progress and provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support their learning.

• Ensure students are provided with a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE) possible, following all procedures and protecting student rights.

• Full-time Long-Term Substitute Teacher for an Autistic Support classroom serving grades 3-5.

• Supporting students with autism, including nonverbal learners, implementing IEPs, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Must possess or be eligible for a Special Education license in the state of CO

• Must have CO Special Education teaching credential for Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs

• Experienced Required:  Special education teaching, writing IEPs

• CDE License REQUIRED IN-HAND

• Minimum of one (1) year related work experience.

• Additional certifications may be required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
