Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $2148.48/week

Shifts: 36 or 48 hours per week, day/evening/night rotation, weekends, holidays, and on-call as per unit need

Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist - Cardiac OR

• Provide technical knowledge in preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team from the scrub position during operations
• Responsible for proper care and handling of instruments
• Facilitate room turnover between cases
• Maintain sterile technique, safe handling of sharps, and perform surgical counts as per policy
• Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under the direction of a registered nurse

Requirements of the Surgical Technologist - Cardiac OR

• NBSTSA Certification or equivalent experience within a healthcare facility
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of recent experience in a cardiac OR
• Able to scrub and circulate
