Travel RN - Operating Room (OR) / Circulator Required Certifications & License

• Current Washington State RN License or Multistate Compact RN License

• BLS - Basic Life Support

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Required Experience

• Previous Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.

• OR Circulator experience is required.

• Ability to coordinate and provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care.

• Knowledge of operating room procedures and patient safety protocols.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) / Circulator is responsible for providing, coordinating, and directing individualized, comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process.

The RN ensures patient safety, maintains a sterile environment, coordinates surgical activities, and collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality surgical care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process.

2. Perform preoperative patient assessments and verify surgical documentation.

3. Coordinate operating room activities and ensure appropriate preparation for surgical procedures.

4. Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.

5. Maintain patient safety and ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols.

6. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members.

7. Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical needs during procedures.

8. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and surgical records.

9. Participate in OR on-call coverage as required, including potential holiday coverage.

• Primarily day shifts.

• Working hours may vary depending on the operating room schedule.

• 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.

• OR on-call availability is required.

• Holiday on-call may be required.
