Travel RN Contract - Cardiac/Telemetry

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Schedule: 4 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekly Gross Pay: $3,100
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• On-Call: Not required
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-1:6

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients; this is not a step-down unit.
• Independently manage routine and complex patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor effectiveness, and document patient responses.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers according to identified learning needs.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Complete required orientations, competency validations, and annual verifications.
• Follow OneCHRISTUS competencies and ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact-state license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• BSN preferred.
• One year of cardiac/telemetry or related nursing experience preferred.
• Attendance at New Nurse Orientation and completion of all required organizational competencies.
