Job Opportunity - Registered Nurse, Pediatric - Bethel, AK 99559

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Bethel, Alaska

Schedule: Day shift, 32 guaranteed hours per week. Travel to surrounding village clinics weekly Monday through Thursday for vaccine visits. Assignment duration of 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

• Provide comprehensive public health case management including well-child checkups, immunizations, and infectious disease screening
• Train and support Community Health Aides and Practitioners in administering public health testing, examinations, and immunizations
• Travel to various villages to deliver services and provide on-site instruction to clinical staff
• Participate in program design, quality assurance, and assessment of public health initiatives
• Opportunity to work in a cross-cultural setting and make a meaningful impact in underserved communities
• Provide education on immunizations, chronic care, preventive health, and diagnostic testing

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Alaska
• Diploma, Associate of Applied Science, or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 2 years of positive work history as RN or in a public health related field
• Knowledge and experience with Pediatrics required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS recommended
• Computer proficiency with MS Office software; ability to become proficient with electronic health records within 3 months
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required
• Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations required
• Ability to work with and guide student Health Aides in delivering well-child exams and immunizations
