Job Description & Requirements

RN - PCU (630) Trident Regional MC / 7:00PM - 7:00AM

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :2-3 PCTs and 1 unit secretary

Type of equipment :

Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements: 3-12 hours shifts with EOW or 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Floating policy: Float to ICU to care for downgrades and ER Holding for patients waiting on beds

Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report is our method of patient hand off

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Advanced skills needed: Nurses administer breathing treatments outside of the ICU (Respiratory treatments: inhalers and nebulizers) Foley Catheter care and maintenance (with nurse driven protocols for removal) Telemetry Post ICU Patients Procedures performed on unit: Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS required, NIH stroke scale certification required.
