Registered Nurse - Stroke Telemetry Unit

Unit Description:
The 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry Unit is a 34-bed, high-acuity medical-surgical unit specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. The unit provides evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale.

• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes.

• Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, patient education, and care planning.

• Safely administer medications following BCMA standards.

• Collaborate with providers, therapists, case management, and other healthcare professionals.

• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintain a strong focus on fall prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety.

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to stroke and telemetry patients.

Med Ninjas Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
