Job Summary

Medical Surgical With Telemetry Nights. This position supports a medical-surgical telemetry unit with a typical census of 47 and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:56. The role provides care for patients undergoing medical, trauma surgery, general surgery, and selected cardiac-related procedures, including adolescent patients age 14 and older.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; competency with continuous bladder irrigation, transurethral resection of the prostate care, patient-controlled analgesia, and plastic surgery cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with biatrial procedures, aneurysm care, external ventricular drains, and bilevel positive airway pressure.
• Additional Information: Block scheduling is not accepted, and every other holiday is required. The role includes pre- and post-cardiac procedure care, sheath removal, transcatheter aortic valve replacement removal, care for patients admitted from the emergency department, trauma surgery, and general surgery. The position does not include open-heart cases or tritrate management. Adolescent patients age 14 and older may be treated, with a parent or guardian required to be present.
