Job Opportunity - Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) per week. Self-scheduling available with flexibility to work consecutive or split shifts. Weekend coverage required on a variable basis. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• Work in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 18 PICU beds and a daily census of approximately 15 patients
• Manageable 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios across all shifts
• First-time travelers and candidates with 1 year of experience welcome to apply
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios
• Willingness to float to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU units as needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check (no Nursys or background hits accepted)
