Job Description
Join a compassionate and progressive care team at McPherson Center for Health, a highly regarded 49-bed acute care hospital serving Central Kansas. As a Labor & Delivery Travel RN, you'll provide comprehensive care to women throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods while supporting safe deliveries and positive birth experiences.

You'll care for patients with a variety of obstetric needs, including labor management, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, postpartum recovery, and cesarean-section patients. Our agency provides transparent support, customizable compensation packages, and a dedicated advocate throughout your 13-week assignment.

Requirements
1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in an acute-care hospital setting
Active Kansas State RN License or valid Compact / Multi-State RN License in good standing
Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
Current NRP certification
Ability to independently manage laboring patients and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition
Competency with fetal heart rate monitoring, labor assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, and postpartum care
Competency caring for patients following vaginal delivery and cesarean section
Ability to provide safe, timely, and compassionate care to both mother and newborn
Flexibility to assist with related maternal-child health needs as patient census and facility needs dictate
Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification
Prior travel nursing contract experience
Experience in a community hospital or Level I/II nursery setting
Experience with antepartum, high-risk pregnancy, or triage
Experience with induction of labor, augmentation, and postpartum hemorrhage management
Experience with modern acute-care Electronic Medical Record (EMR) charting systems

Level 1 Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
