Our client, a leading healthcare facility, is looking for a Registered Nurse in Outpatient Oncology to start immediately in New Haven, CT. Enjoy the vibrant community and cultural richness of New Haven while making a significant impact in oncology care.Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to patient messages through the electronic in-basket.
• Provide patient education related to oncology diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Perform phone triage and determine appropriate follow-up or escalation in the outpatient oncology clinic setting.
• Coordinate care, including tests, referrals, and appointments, ensuring a comprehensive patient care plan.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology team to address patient needs and maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in an ambulatory setting.
• Active RN license, with BLS and ONS/ONCC Chemo certifications required.
• Experience with phone triage and electronic charting systems such as Epic.
