Internal Job Description

NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT, SEND DIRECTLY TO FACILITY MANAGER FOR INTERVIEW .

Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation.

OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.

Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated .

Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles. .

Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract.

Department: ER.

2 years exp in ED required.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training) .

It is very difficult for us to do block scheduling.

We do try to make it work if we can but I cannot guarantee it.

- Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center?: Certified stoke center.

- # of Beds/Trauma Bays: 18.

- Ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity.

- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: All age groups, Chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke.

Treat a lot of high acuity patients here.

- Common drips: Antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, emergency medications.

- EMR System: EPIC.

- IV Pumps: Alaris.

- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes.

- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7a-7p,11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a / Leadership will make schedule based on needs.

Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.

- Floating Requirements: No.

- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue.

- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 shifts.

- Additional Notes: Utilize TeleHealth here, Focus is on purposeful rounding.
