Travel RN - Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg):

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week
Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in Peoria, IL. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate treatment plans, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and throughout the shift.

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient and family needs.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Monitor patient conditions, evaluate responses to treatment, and modify care plans as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress.

• Follow infection control procedures and established patient safety standards.

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and changes in patient conditions.

• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Participate in departmental competencies, continuing education, and professional development.

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while following facility policies and nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Med Ninjas Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
