Number of Beds : 20

Patient Ratios : 4:1

Unit staffing description - Unit Secretary, Nurse Externs (can start IVs), Patient Care Techs (can draw labs), Registered Nurses, Manger, Director

Type of equipment : ZOLL, Baxter pumps, GE telemetry monitors, imobile, Hillrom beds, Centrella Speciality beds, kangaroo pumps, Timpani and Inspire App (scheduling)

Documentation system: Expanse

Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, Holiday or hard to fill availability, 2 Mondays / 2 Fridays a schedule

Floating policy: can float to other Step- Downs (4:1- PSTU, CSU) Medsurg (6:1- ONC, CRPU, GSTU, NTU, MCU)

Patient Experience requirements: ACLS, Acute Care / Step-Down, Cardiac Drips (Dilt, Amio, Dobut, Milrinone, Nitro, etc), Post Cath without intervention, BIPAP/CPAP/ High Flow, Chest Tubes

Advanced skills needed:

Procedures performed on unit: Occasional bed side Cardioversion (appropriate Cath Lab staff to recover patient)
