Job Summary: Registered Nurse ER (Adult)

- Location: Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, NY (Not open to RNs within 75 miles)
- Department: Emergency Room (Adult focus; may see pediatrics as needed)
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a-7p/11a-11p); 13-week contract; every other weekend and holiday required
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active New York Single State RN license (no pending licenses, NY is not compact)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Clinical Skills Required:
- IV therapy (including blood product admin, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs), IV vasopressors
- Ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Emergency care for adult/pediatric trauma (gunshot wounds, ortho trauma)
- Neuro-trauma (CVA/stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI)
- Triage, isolation precautions
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 (adults/geriatrics, all emergency diagnoses)
- Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
- Floating: Required within skillset to similar units
- Dress Code: Navy blue and/or white scrubs

- 528-bed acute care teaching facility, affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park

- First-time travelers accepted
- Must submit time-off/special scheduling requests upon application
- Client may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract
- No local RN candidates (within 75 miles)

Med Ninjas Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
