Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location not specified. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a busy, high-turnover surgical unit. The RN will be responsible for managing a caseload that includes patients with ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, and other medical diagnoses, ensuring optimal outcomes and safety.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN role on a Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on postoperative and medical overflow patients, including colorectal and urological cases.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Education Requirements: BSN.
• Experience Requirement: 2 years of experience as an RN on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry, remote monitoring, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting IVs, Heparin, and Insulin management.
• Location Requirements: No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted. Pending license accepted.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, telemonitoring, and managing high-turnover surgery patients.
• Float: Float within service line may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidate must pass Relias EKG exam and interpret/manage dysrhythmias. The unit administers drips including Heparin, Lidocaine, Bicarb, Bivalirudin, Amiodarone, and manages PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs. Knowledge of telehealth systems is preferred. The assignment requires passing a Relias EKG exam and adhering to hospital protocols for procedural and safety standards.
• Submission Requirements: Must be able to submit pending license; no RTO exceeding 7 days; comply with facility and certification requirements by specified deadlines.
