Unit Specifics:

Number of Beds: 6 (5 open bays, 1 isolation room)

Patient Ratios: 1:2-3

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): RN and RT

Type of equipment: GE 650 monitors, Medela breast pumps, Syringe pumps, IV pumps, bili-lights

Documentation system: Meditech, Centricity Perinatal

Scheduling requirements: 3 12-hours shifts per week

Floating policy: Birth Response/ Stork Nurse

Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, courtesy and respect

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications: BLS, NRP

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: breastfeeding support, strong communication skills

Must have: IV insertion in preterm or term infants, Able to work independently with good assessment skills and knowledge of symptoms of declining health in preterm infants
