Travel RN - NICU

Location: San Diego, California
Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, individualized, age-specific nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns and their families.

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.

• Monitor neonatal conditions, recognize changes in patient status, and respond promptly to clinical emergencies.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Educate parents and families on neonatal care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

• Advocate for newborns and their families while promoting safety, comfort, and quality care.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards.

• Coordinate patient care, delegate appropriate tasks, and utilize additional clinical resources when needed.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Active California RN License

• CPR certification

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Med Ninjas Job ID . Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
