TRAVEL - RN - ICU (650) - 7A-7P

Number of Beds : 16

Patient Ratios : 1:1 (critically ill), 1:2

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Call for 9 nurses and 1 PCT when full. 24/7 unencumbered experienced Charge Nurses. Unit Educator during weekdays. Clinical Support Coordinator on mid-shifts. Pharmacist on unit during dayshift.

Type of equipment : Ventilators, CRRT, Hemosphere, Impella, ICP monitors, Arterial/CVC lines

Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements: Self-scheduling. Days: every 4th weekend, 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule. Nights: 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun night)

On Call Requirements: None

Floating policy: Float to Cardiac Care Unit only when overstaffed

Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Nurse Leader to round on patient prior to DC

Hospital Specifics-

Certifications: Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center

Requested Skill Set: Critical care experience required, strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team, vent management, experience with sedation/vasopressors/blood products, comfort with goals of care conversations Must have: Team focused attitude Advanced skills needed: Neuro ICU experience a bonus ? Procedures performed on unit: Cardioversion, PEG placements, EGD, bronchs, EVD placement, chest tube insertion, central line/art line placement, Rapid Sequence Intubation Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
