Job Summary

- Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department (ED) with 64 beds, including adult, pediatric, geriatric, and newborn patients.
- Treat a variety of emergency diagnoses: stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, etc.
- Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Deliver care across all patient populations, including SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) cases.
- Float to other units as required.
- Charge RN capability is highly preferred (leadership/charge responsibilities may be needed).
- Work with EMR system: EPIC.
- Adhere to facility protocols for all assigned patients.
- Maintain compliance with required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be in hand).
- Wear navy blue scrubs as per unit policy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality emergency care.
- Potential to work with block scheduling (not guaranteed).

Environment:
- Large, fast-paced ED: 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych beds.
- Diverse patient population requiring rapid assessment and intervention.
